ToolifyNav verdict
LALAL.AI is a utility in the best sense: it does separation very well, offers more stem types than most competitors, and adds voice cleanup tools that podcasters and editors actually need. The relaxed queue on paid plans removes much of the anxiety of metered minutes, and the Pro tier's local VST and Lyra processing are a real advantage for producers who would rather not upload unreleased tracks. The quirks are mostly billing: minutes scale with the number of stems requested, and the free tier is preview-only. Anyone who regularly pulls songs apart will find the annual Lite plan cheap insurance.
About
About LALAL.AI
LALAL.AI began as a single-purpose vocal remover and has grown into a suite of audio separation and voice tools used by musicians, DJs, podcasters and video editors. The core is stem separation powered by transformer-based models: upload up to 20 files at a time in MP3, FLAC, MP4, MKV and other formats and extract vocals and instrumental, or split further into drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitar, piano, synthesizer, strings and wind.
Specialized tools sit around that engine. A Lead/Back Splitter separates lead and backing vocals and can output a backing-plus-music mix. Voice Cleaner removes background music, plosives, mic rumble and other noise from speech. An Echo & Reverb Remover tightens roomy recordings. On the creative side, a Voice Changer adjusts accent and tonality, and a Voice Cloner builds a personal voice model from your recordings for ad reads or voiceovers.
LALAL.AI runs in the browser, as desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux, and on iOS and Android. The Pro plan adds a VST plugin that runs locally inside your DAW, local processing via the Lyra engine in the desktop app, and API access; enterprise contracts cover secure bulk processing.
Usage is metered in minutes: file length multiplied by the number of stem types you request. Paid plans include unlimited processing in a slower relaxed queue plus a monthly allowance of fast-queue minutes.
