ToolifyNav verdict
Looka earns its spot in the Art lane as a pragmatic shortcut: it compresses the first-week branding chores — logo, file formats, business cards, social headers — into an afternoon and a modest bill. Its weakness is the same as its strength; the generator remixes well-worn visual patterns, so the output reads professional rather than memorable. Directory readers should judge it against the cost of their time. The $72 premium package is easy to justify when the goal is looking legitimate on a landing page and pitch deck by Friday; real distinctiveness is a separate, later budget line.
About
About Looka
Looka (the company formerly known as Logojoy) is aimed at founders who need a credible mark this week, not a design agency engagement next quarter. You type a company name, choose a few styles, colors and symbols you like, and the generator returns hundreds of logo mockups. From there an editor lets you change colors, icons, spacing and layout, and preview the result on T-shirts, pens and other real-world mockups before paying anything — designing is free; downloading is what costs money.
Purchases split into two lanes. One-time logo packages cover the files themselves: a basic package with a single low-res PNG, or a premium package with high-res PNG, SVG, EPS and PDF files, color, black-and-white and transparent variations, and unlimited post-purchase edits. The subscription lane wraps the logo in a Brand Kit — 300+ templates generated from your logo, fonts and colors, including business cards, social profile and cover images, email signatures, letterheads, invoices, flyers and a brand guidelines sheet. A higher tier adds an AI-generated website.
Looka says customers keep full ownership of the logo even if the subscription lapses. The company name itself cannot be changed after purchase, and Looka recommends registering a trademark locally, since buying a generated logo does not make it legally protected.
