ToolifyNav verdict
LANDR is infrastructure for releasing music, not for generating it. The AI mastering is quick, consistent and good enough for most independent releases, and the Studio bundle makes economic sense when you would otherwise pay separately for a distributor, a sample library and a plugin collection. Critical listeners will still hear the difference a human engineer makes on dense or unusual mixes, and the tier structure pushes anyone needing lossless masters toward Standard or Pro. For self-releasing artists who value one dashboard from finished mix to Spotify, it remains one of the most complete options.
About
About LANDR
LANDR, founded in Montreal in 2014, was one of the first companies to sell AI mastering to independent musicians. Upload a mix and its engine — which the company says never uses presets and draws on more than a decade of training from professional audio engineers — returns a release-ready master in minutes. The same engine now runs in a browser, in a mobile app, through an API and as the LANDR Mastering Plugin inside a DAW.
Around mastering, LANDR has assembled a full release stack. Distribution sends music to more than 150 streaming and social platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok and YouTube, with unlimited releases, 100% of royalties kept and tracks staying live even if you cancel. The Samples library holds over three million royalty-free sounds, and the plugin catalog runs to 70-plus effects and instruments, including vocal processing, an enhancer and a stem separator. Members also get 200-plus online courses, collaboration tools for remote sessions, promo links and streaming statistics.
Everything is now sold as LANDR Studio in Essentials, Standard and Pro tiers that differ mainly in WAV mastering allowance, plugin access, storage and how many artists you can distribute. A single WAV master can still be bought without a subscription. LANDR's Fair Trade AI program pays artists who opt in to let their tracks inform its models, and distribution limits how many AI-generated tracks can be released each month.
