It is the wrong default for a systematic review (Elicit), a cited news brief you will not verify (still verify, or use Perplexity and then verify), or a multi-file refactor (Cursor, Claude Code). Claude is still the comparison for long, careful documents. Gemini is still the comparison when the work already lives in Google. Grok is still the comparison when you want xAI’s voice and X-shaped context. Pick ChatGPT as the hub, write down what must never be pasted into it, and buy the workspace tier if the hub is going to see company material.

Manus represents the shift from simple conversational chatbots to autonomous task-executing agents. While ChatGPT, Claude, and Poe provide immediate conversational answers, Manus takes ownership of multi-step workflows to deliver finished documents and websites.
