Sudowrite is one of the few writing tools that will be insulted if you paste a landing-page brief into it. Muse, the fiction model, is tuned for character, scene, and voice. The Story Bible and Describe features exist so a novel does not forget the color of a coat on page 240.

That specialization is the product. ChatGPT and Claude will still out-reason it on a research memo. Jasper will still out-process it on a campaign. Lex will still feel calmer if you want a blank page with light rewrite and no “you are writing a novel” chrome. Sudowrite is for people who already know they are drafting fiction and want the machine to stay in that register.

English-first, subscription, and not shy about being a craft tool. Mobile exists so a scene can move on the train. None of that makes it a CMS.
