Stitch is an ideation tool for interfaces. Canva and Krea remain the right tabs for marketing visuals. Uizard remains the other sketch-to-UI option. v0 remains the better next step when the artifact should already be React. Use Stitch when you need several screens that look like software, not a poster, and you are fine throwing the first code away. Do not staff a product team as if Stitch were Figma plus a senior frontend. Check what the current Labs build actually exports on your prompt — the surface moves.

About Google Stitch
Stitch is a UI sketchpad that happens to emit code. You give it a sentence, a screenshot, or a live URL, and it tries to return screens that look like an app — layout, type, components — plus something you can paste toward a frontend.
That “looks like an app” clause is how it differs from Canva (marketing canvas) and Krea (image canvas). Uizard is the closer cousin: both turn rough input into mockups. Stitch’s Google Labs packaging, URL-to-design-system trick, and MCP / DESIGN.md path are the current differentiators, not a claim that it replaced Figma.
The code export is a conversation starter. It is not a production design system, not accessibility-complete, and not a reason to skip a designer on a real surface. Founders use it to argue about information architecture before anyone opens Xcode. Product designers use it to steal a first pass, then rebuild the real components.
Print, photography, and brand illustration are the wrong category. Leave those in Canva, Krea, or Midjourney.
