Gamma Review: A ToolifyNav Deck in Twenty Seconds (4/5)
I watched Gamma polish slides 5/7 on a Sunday night in La Rioja. Twenty seconds later I had a seven-card ToolifyNav pitch I could edit, present, and export to PDF on the free tier.
Best for
- Solo makers and founders who need a first-draft pitch or product deck tonight
- People who refuse Google SSO and want a real free path with Present + PDF
- Quick internal decks where a Gamma badge on the PDF is acceptable
Not ideal for
- Client-facing exports that must have zero vendor branding on free
- Heavy regenerators who would burn through 400 credits in a day

Gamma is what you open when the story is still alive and PowerPoint would murder it. Founder updates, sales narratives, internal explainers: generate a spine, then obey the edit law. Delete half the slides. Replace stock metaphors with your metrics. Only then share.
Unedited Gamma decks have a cousins-look across startups. That is not Gamma’s fault. That is what happens when you ship the first render.
Beautiful.ai is stricter. Tome is more “emotional arc.” Canva is the Brand Kit you already pay for. Gamma is speed with a looser hand. If your room wants a table dump, you may still need classical slides.
The product is not a strategy. It will arrange a weak story into a pretty weak story.
Keep a swipe file of decks that survived a real meeting and a swipe file of decks that got laughed at. The difference is almost never the template. It is whether a human deleted the filler and put a real number on slide three.
